The events below are scheduled for the 2024 season. More events will be announced as the season progresses - our charity dinners and community BBQ dinners as well as fun golf tournaments and activities. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CAMP
The Galiano Golf Course has been part of the community and social life on the island since its beginnings in 1946. The course is run as a non-profit society, and is open to the public, whether playing 9 or 18 holes, or just wanting to have a drink and snack on the patio. Part of our purpose is to make sure that the residents and visitors on Galiano have access to golf as a recreational option, which means ensuring that barriers to play are reduced. We’ve done this through keeping green fees low, ensuring that everyone is welcome on the course, and providing free clinics for full and part time residents to develop skills. One of these clinics is a 3 day development camp in the summer oriented towards youth, from age 4 to age 18, where volunteers will teach participants how to swing, putt, and the rules of golf. Youth will be assigned into groups depending on age.
Not only is participation free for all youth, but each participant who completes the camp will receive a free golf membership for the rest of the season (meaning until March 31, 2025 ), which is a $105 value.
Dates: July 8,9,10
Times: 8:30 am to noon each day.
Location: 24 St. Andrews Crescent – we will be meeting on the patio outside the clubhouse.
Attire: Please dress for the weather and ensure appropriate attire for physical activity and the golf course terrain.
Hats and sunscreen recommended.
Nutrition: each youth to bring water bottle and snack.
Guardians and parents will be required to provide written authorization for youth attendance, emergency contact information and any allergy specifics.

Men's Night
Initially held on Saturday afternoons in the spring starting sometime in April and Thursdays in the summer when it's light until 7pm finish. You don't have to be a member to join - and you can be competitive or non-competitive. Lots of fun and food and drinks are usually served afterward!
There's the chance of winning the 50/50 prize for a hole in one!
Ladies Day
The Ladies meet every Tuesday. We show up at 9:50 AM to get organized with teams, and games to play that day. 10:00 AM is tee off.
We also get together on Thursday at 10:00 AM to play, and decide where we’d like to go for lunch.
All Ladies are welcome to join us.
Galiano Open Sep 7th, 2024
Our annual open golf tournament - everyone is invited. Play only 9 holes for fun or enter into the Open draw for 18 holes. Closest to Pin, Longest Drive and other KPIs are competed for.
Irine Lee Tournament (Members Only)
Held after the Galiano Open with qualifiers from the Open who are members.
